The Lunar bag design is inspired by the rising full moon. I wanted to represent its power and the beauty in this bag.

Inside, the bag has one large flat pocket for valuables and smaller items. 

I have made the bag very differently to how I normally make my bags. I wanted the large panels of the bag to be rigid so they hole there silhouette, which is one of my favourite parts of the bag. To achieve this I laminated several thin layers of leather together to make the overall panel stiffer, without making it heavier. While the leather s stiffer, being a naturally tanned leather it will still age beautifully. The prototyping of this process took such a long time, but I’m really happy with the result.

For me the creation of this bag was equal parts ‘art’ and ‘trade’. Whilst it is still a functional bag that can hold things etc. For me the beauty of this bag is its most important feature.
